Smart Menu + Digital Guest Experience
During the COVID-era shift toward contactless dining, eLab implemented its Smart Menu system for Hog’s Breath Inn, giving guests a simple way to access current restaurant menus directly from their phones.
The system combined QR-code access with NFC technology, allowing guests to scan or tap at the restaurant and immediately open the digital menu without downloading an application.
The Smart Menu experience supported easier menu updates while providing a mobile-friendly alternative to traditional printed menus.

Content + Ongoing Visibility
eLab supported the restaurant with original visual content and ongoing digital promotion, including photography, video production, social media management and advertising.
The work documented the restaurant, food, atmosphere and community presence while creating a consistent supply of content for digital channels and promotional campaigns.

Reopening + Public Relations
When Hog’s Breath Inn temporarily closed for a major renovation, eLab supported the restaurant’s return with a coordinated reopening communications campaign.
The work included press releases, social media updates, digital engagement, photography and video, earned-media outreach and behind-the-scenes storytelling designed to keep the restaurant visible during the renovation period and reintroduce it to the community when it reopened.
eLab also digitized historic restaurant photography and archival material, preserving visual assets that could be used in the renewed restaurant environment and future storytelling.
